Our 3rd shop opened in spring of '06, and it is located in the centre of Paisley, on the riverbank where the Teeswater and the Saugeen river meet. This shop is only a short walk from access point number 9 on the Saugeen river where the town dock is set. River access can be gained beside the shop along the bridge with many other points located close by.

The 104 km main Saugeen isn't the only paddling around here. There is also the Teeswater river that flows into the Saugeen, although only passable in the spring run off or at times of high water, this route should only be tackled by experienced paddlers.

The Paisley to Denny's Dam paddle is a highly traveled section of the river with great fishing and wildlife viewing opportunities. If paddling at dusk don't forget to look up and see the wonderful sunset.

Paisley is a small friendly community, with enjoyable stores, unique galleries and specialty food shops in the downtown core. Whether it's for a day trip or a weekend trip there are many places for you to stay. There is Saugeen Bluffs Conservation Area, McBeath camp ground, or the friendly Gar Ham B&B.

Paisley is one of the nicest spots to paddle in South Western Ontario. Featuring the largest selection of canoes, kayaks, and associated technical and traditional gear. A fabulous walk along the dykes takes you to where our third river, within Paisley, the North Saugeen, joins the Saugeen. Our Paisley store offers a wide selection of outdoor gear and clothing for both the hardcore outdoor person and the outdoor person just "out for a walk".

In this modern looking shop, Thorncrest has the space to display numerous models of tents, backpacks, skis, snowshoes, and many boats under one roof.
