Inland Lakes Kayak Fishing Trip

We offer two inland lake locations, with multiple dates available for each location.

Arran Lake Description, Trip Dates and Fish Species

This 5km long X 3/4km wide, finger like inland lake, is land locked and teeming with cover for fish. The lake is sheltered and a great place to be introduced to kayak angling or relax on the water with your family and friends.

Meet Location: Arran-Elderslie Side Road 10-11, north off Bruce County Road #5, east of the village of Tara. Meet at Arran Lake Conservation Area. Google Maps

Fish species found at Arran lake include small and largemouth bass, rock bass, pike, perch, and bluegill.

Boat Lake Description, Trip Dates and Fish Species

Boat lake is a very shallow 3.5km X 2km wide lake found along the Rankin River system. It features a great playground for fishing among it's underwater terrain and copious horsetail grasses. A few more fish species can often be found here as the lakes interconnected water system provides a bit more diversity.

Things to bring

  • Valid fishing license - must have. Sorry we do not sell permits.
  • Your favorite fishing rods (spiner or caster), fishing tackle and gear. Or use our complete kits
  • Waterproof camera - we practise catch and release fishing.
  • Ample water, lunch, snacks in waterproof containers.
  • Polarized sunglasses, glasses keeper, hat and sunscreen and insect repellants.
  • Weather appropriate clothing which may include rain gear, UV protective clothing options, water footwear, waterproof gloves.
